Dextra Group recognise that hard wired installations can be both costly and time consuming. Our range of programmable and non-programmable modular wiring systems can make installations far more quick and efficient.
Automatic testing of emergency fittings is far more cost effective and easier than manual testing and record keeping. Our range of Autotest emergency luminaires and front end testing systems are both simple and versatile and with features encouraged by current British standards.
Lighting designed to replicate the patterns of natural daylight. Through the course of a typical day natural daylight colour temperatures vary from warm white at dawn and dusk to cool white at noon. White tunable luminaires replicate these patterns, stimulating the production of hormones that enable us to perform at our best during the day and sleep soundly come night time.
Dextra wireless solutions now allow a full range of control options using wireless data transmission eliminating the need to install additional wiring that would be required for a traditional DALI installation. With a wide range of wireless solutions available in our range the functionality of your system can be selected to best meet the needs of your application allowing a wide range of luminaire control with luminaires only requiring a live, earth and neutral wiring connection and no need to modify your cabling installation.
When considering the ongoing costs of operating your lighting installation the maintenance costs for emergency luminaires can form a significant proportion, second only to power consumption. Aside from the need to undertake function testing on a monthly basis and duration tests annually whilst maintaining accurate test records off site, the limited life time of Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries means that regular battery replacement is required.
At Dextra Group we offer a comprehensive range of emergency lighting products. Whilst we’ve built a range to cover all scenarios, there is often a need for guidance when attempting to select the correct signage for a given application.
Dextra group recessed luminaires which are subject to thermoplastic regulations are manufactured with TP(a) diffusers to ensure they offer optimum safety in the event of a fire and to allow installation in a range of installations and configurations without the restrictions applied to TP(b) rated diffusers as per The Building Regulations 2010 Fire Safety Approved Document B, Volume 2: Buildings other than Dwelling Houses.
All LEDs used in Dextra Luminaires are tested in accordance with the LM80-08 standard and LED lifetimes are predicted using the TM-21 standard. TM-21 only permits meaningful prediction of lifetime to six times the test period undertaken in LM80 testing of the LED. Dextra Group has LM80 data to 10,000 operating hours therefore allowing LED lifetime to be predicted to 60,000 operating hours.
