Nutricia specialises in the delivery of advanced medical nutrition for the very young, the old and the sick. As well as being the largest specialist nutrition company in Europe, Nutricia is the market leader in the UK.
Nutricia were looking for an effective interior lighting design solution that would replace their existing fluorescent office lighting with new recessed LED lighting. To achieve this Dextra Lighting collaborated with Denmans Electrical Wholesalers in Bradley Stoke and Brand Electrical Contractors and Engineers who between them have a wealth of experience in LED lighting fixtures and LED lighting systems.
Dextra Lighting presented the MODLED Office, their flagship recessed LED lighting product, to Brand Electrical who were extremely impressed with both the design and the potential energy savings that could be achieved.
Dextra Lighting designed and supplied the window rows with DALI dimmable ballasts and integral emergency lighting where needed. They also supplied the REAF 2 PLUS DSI (X) – PIR light sensor – as part of the lighting design. The lighting design was used to trial one particular area to establish what cost savings could actually be achieved.
Implementation of this interior lighting design scheme has facilitated an annual cost saving of £1119.87 in the one trial area. Due to this success Nutricia have requested that Dextra Lighting supply a lighting design for the rest of this floor and eventually roll it out through the entire building.
