Leading biopharmaceutical company enjoy bespoke LED recessed lighting upgrade

A bespoke version of Dextra Lighting’s leading recessed LED luminaire now illuminates the corridors of a leading biopharmaceutical company.

Visitors to a branch of Pfizer, based in Havant, are now greeted by a brightly lit space thanks to a bespoke version of a precision-engineered LED lighting replacement.

LED corridor lightingThe extensive upgrade of the main interlink corridor now boasts a number of MODLED luminaires.

The popular LED recessed lighting was combined with ‘corridor function’, enabling the luminaire to dim to 10% when the area is unoccupied. This impressive feature enables both an extended lifetime and makes for greater energy and cost savings, emphasising the energy efficient features of LED technology.

When compared to traditional light sources, the MODLED offers an energy efficient LED alternative combined with minimal maintenance compared to traditional light sources.

Suitable for an array of different applications, the MODLED is designed to offer a wide range of outputs, making it a perfect solution for corridor lighting, receptions, office lighting (not applicable to all lumen outputs) and applications requiring commercial LED lighting.

The versatile luminaire is also suitable for suspended ceiling systems, as well as plasterboard applications.

Maximising energy efficiency, the impressive dimming features provide both enhanced financial savings and contribute to Pfizer’s Environmental Sustainability Programme, striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2020.

The selection of LED technology in the form of the MODLED helps to maximise energy efficiency and is a cost effective, long-life lighting solution.

MODLED recessed lightingAmong its many attractive features, the MODLED is constructed with steel housing and painted in gloss white, making it both robust and easy to tie-in with the décor of any space.

The luminaire also boasts an impressive light output ratio of 85% and is available in a range of lumen options (1750, 2250, 3500 and 4500) in 600mm x 600mm luminaires.

The range of impressive features of the luminaire itself, combined with the numerous benefits of LED technology makes the MODLED an ideal solution for Pfizer’s corridor upgrade project.

LED delivers an attractive combination of long life and low maintenance, instant light and extended lumen maintenance, among a host of other features.

Dextra Group plc.’s specialist subsidiary companies were also involved in the corridor upgrade project, with state-of-the-art lighting sensors provided by Dexsor and the existing fittings collected and recycled by Dexreco. The project was carried out by Portsmouth based contractor Batchelor & Smith.

The MODLED’s impressive combination of performance combined with the energy efficient dimming function, makes the LED lighting choice the perfect selection for Pfizer’s corridor upgrade project. Pfizer logo
