“Growing up and progressing my career path within a dynamic forward thinking company has been interesting, challenging at times and immensely rewarding.
Building an Internal Sales team for Dextra Lighting Ltd. has not been easy, it’s had its issues and one of our biggest obstacles is lack of people to employ as Dorset has one of the lowest unemployment rates.
But we have done it!
I have a very unique internal sales team, coming from all walks of life, offering their own personal touch to the job in hand.
We also have external specification mangers out in the field that are what we call “home grown ” coming from within the company and mostly from my internal sales desk – I am very proud of this.
One of my favourite sayings to my team is “snooze you lose!”. You can hear me bellow this out on a daily basis in and around the sales office.
The lighting market place has changed significantly, with the huge shift in recent years being the move to LED and the ever changing developments that come with it. My team are very dynamic and trained to keep moving swiftly and quickly within a company that strives to be at the top of it’s game with our state of the art manufacturing equipment and processes and our own innovation to look forward and beyond!
There are many opportunities within Dextra. I started working on the factory floor 20 years ago and my career path at Dextra has progressed me to now be Internal Sales Director for Dextra Lighting Ltd.
