I.T. Support

Dextra Group requires an I.T. Support person with previous experience of Active Directory and Exchange server management in a working network environment. The I.T. Department is responsible for the general day to day support of the computer network, software and associated hardware under the control of the department.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Enterprise operating systems for desktop server
  • Virtual Desktop and Server
  • Endpoint security, Filtering and Firewall
  • VOIP Communications, Audio & Video Conferencing
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Application & database Support
  • Networking – Switching & Routers – Cabling ethernet & fibre
  • Software Licensing
  • Desktop & Server optimisation
  • Follow the Quality Control guidelines set out by the Company
  • Follow the requirements of the Company’s ISO Procedure
  • Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work

 

Post Requirements

  • Previous experience of Active Directory and Exchange server management in a working network environment is essential
  • Exposure to WMWare or server virtualisation would be desirable
  • A good general working understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • The ability to not only diagnose and rectify everyday support issues but also to be proactive in highlighting possible areas of improvement within the organisations I.T. infrastructure
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail coupled with the ability to both understand the functionality of common windows software packages and to be able to pass that knowledge to users in a constructive manner
